Bamenda based film maker; Musing Derick Teen, is one of the proud Cameroonians that for the past 6 years has been getting nomination in the country for his films. From those years, the director has luckily been able to add another scenography to his sitting room with the trophies.

This year, he has been given two sits at the Black Screen Festival from one film; KISS OF DEATH, directed by him in collaboration with Edith P Studios and Alaleo Entertainments. Best Feature Film and Best Central Africa Film.  The film stars big names in the industry like: Onyama Laura, who is the lead character, Libota McDonald, Edith Pikwa, Mat Atugon, Vugah Samson, the screen teacher and Eyo Eyo Michael.

At times I think Musing is always having his way through because of his perception about film making. Musing is one of the few film makers in Cameroon that can take 5 years to produce a 1 hour 30 minutes films. Why…simply because he goes for the best.

Musing

It almost getting to a year since TENACITY’s trailer was premiered online. This film has made Musing turn into a refugee on social media and in public simply because of questions like “what is happening with Tenacity?” The questions have been diving from everywhere even the actors themselves can’t tell the magic Derick and his production brother, Tankong Delvise (DOP and Editor) are planning to do with film. I think Takong was occupied with SAMBA TV series …the d.o.p thing!

The Kamerflow Magazines once opened the discussion with the celeb on an online chat about the film and he said “I don’t want to rush over that film, I can keep like for two years because I want the best of it. I will take my time on it. But that notwithstanding, I have another one coming out soon, let me show you the poster”

He showed us the poster and we watched the premiere as well and Ecran Noir is announcing the film’s double nomination.

If somebody can produce a film like Tenacity and keep in post-production for almost one year or more, why won’t he grab an award of a film he produced after the first one since he knows the quality of his products?
